Listen...

I cannot, cannot, cannot stop listening to this song.  Ciara gave me this album a couple of weeks ago and I can't get over it.  It makes me feel swept away... We were born to hear music like this... It feeds the ancient part of us and speaks to the soul.

Ha! That same thing happened to me when I first got that album--I didn't make it past the first song for about two weeks! It still gives me shivers, but gradually the other songs crept up on me too and now I adore the whole album--it's the lyrics and his voice and the life evoked and the music...

And you are so right when you say, "It feeds the ancient part of us and speaks to the soul."

Thank you for telling me about this song. I have passed it on to one of my friends. We have a thing where everyday I send her new songs or bands that I think she needs to know about and this is definitely one of them.

Its an amazing song, Emma I've let the album run on a few times but suddenly I need to flick it back to number one, Roscoe...

Brilliant Emily, delighted you haven't heard them yet! Nothing nicer than a new sound to swim in the ears! Let it be your summer soundtrack!

Oh. My Young Bride did it for me. And I keep coming back to this album. I can't seem to get tired of it.

I love "My young bride" too and "Head home" and "In this camp" and "It covers the hillsides" which we listened to as we drove through the snowy landscape on our way to the mountains last January. Magical.

My young bride has a bert jansch vibe to it... it reminds me of Silly Woman which is one of my favorite folk songs ever! Although its not as organic as Jansch, it has that feeling - although its not a modern thing to be chastised by ones husband, why am I drawn to those songs?? TUT TUT!

although if I could say there is a fleetwood mac impression from them too... and jefferson airplane... and and... there is a 1968 warm summer hum in the backround of thier songs but then THE LYRICS...

Ciara, I'm indebted for all time...
